Jeff Gueulette has an important job. He is one of the mechanics at Columbus City Schools who is charged with keeping more than 800 buses on the road and safe to transport students.
Jeff takes that responsibility seriously, and he thinks about the students, drivers and aides who ride those buses every day as he goes about his work. He wants all of them to have peace of mind that their buses will be operating at the highest levels.
Jeff’s peace of mind comes from being able to do his job knowing he has the backing of his union.
“With a union, you have somebody to back you up. You have security. You have a contract that guarantees your wages, your benefits and your working conditions. I have worked in jobs without a union, so I know the difference. I’m definitely sticking with my union,” Jeff said.
